Benny Hinn Gives New Official Wedding Date! This Weekend!

After a highly publicized divorce, evangelist Benny Hinn and his wife, Suzanne, announced they will remarry in March.

The news follows a yearlong process of reconciliation.

“I want you to receive this good news because our Lord Jesus has done a great and miraculous thing in our lives, together and individually,” Hinn said in a statement on his ministry’s website.

“Suzanne and I are more in love and happier than ever,” he continued. “Most importantly, we know that the hand of God has brought this about, and to Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise!”

The couple had been married for more than 30 years when Suzanne filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court in 2010, citing irreconcilable differences.

The Hinns will take their vows March 3 in a ceremony conducted by Dr. Jack Hayford.

“We are excited about the future, and sharing our vows together in the March 3 ceremony has been the perfect next step toward our spending the rest of our lives together,” Hinn said.

“Thank you for praying for my sweet family, Suzanne, and me!” he continued. “It is because of your prayers, intercession, and love that we are where we are today.”

Winans, Jr Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

A judge sentenced Mike Winans Jr. a member of gospel music’s Winans family to nearly 14 years in prison Wednesday for an $8 million financial scam that was promoted in church pulpits, reports the  Associated Press.

Two of Michael Winans Jr.‘s victims spoke in federal court, telling a judge that the scheme to sell Saudi Arabian oil bonds robbed some people of their life savings, caused divorces and fractured many families.

“I want to apologize to everyone… These were decidisions that were negligent and irresponsible,” said Winans, of Jessup, Md.

He said he had no “malicious Intent” but acknowledged that he continued to collect money even after he learned that the bonds were bogus.

Winans, 30, is a third-generation member of one of gospel music’s first families. He’s the grandson ofDelores “Mom” Winans and David “Pop” Winans Sr., and the son of Michael Winans Sr., a member ofThe Winans quartet of brothers.

Winans has performed with his cousin as “Winans Phase II.” He released his own album in 2011, “My Own Genre.”

TD Jakes Says He's 'Shocked' by Pope Benedict XVI's Resignation

Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter's House in Dallas, Texas, appeared on "CBS This Morning" Tuesday to answer viewers' questions on forgiveness, but he also commented on the surprising resignation of Pope Benedict XVI from the papacy.

Jakes said he was "astounded" when he learned last week that Pope Benedict XVI would be retiring just eight years after succeeding the deceased Pope John Paul II, making the 85-year-old the first pontiff to resign in almost 600 years of the Roman Catholic Church's history.

"I think it was shocking because we haven't seen it for 600 years or so, but it is indicative of the times we live, that people are doing things in new ways and new capacities," said Jakes. "I take it at face value based on what we know so far.

Pope Benedict bid an emotional farewell at his last general audience on yesterday, saying he understood the gravity of his decision to become the first pontiff to resign in 600 years but that he had done it for the good of the Roman Catholic Church.

Cardinal John Oniyekan Says The Election Of A New Pope Will Strictly Be Based On Canon Laws

Head of the Abuja Ecclesiastical Province of the Church, His Eminence Cardinal John Onaiyekan, has declared that the election of a new Pope would be strictly based on the canon laws and the will of God and devoid of any other consideration, As Pope Benedict XVI finally bows out, in the next few hours.

Cardinal Onaiyekan stated this in a sermon at a Thanksgiving Mass and Reception organised for him by his alma mater and Old Boys of Mount St. Michael’s Secondary School, Aliade in Benue State.

Taking his reading from the book of Matthew 16:13-19 he said “We (Cardinals) will follow laid down canon laws when we go to the conclave to elect a new Pope for the church”.

“Cardinals will be directed by the will of God in the election process so that at the end of the day, whoever emerges will be God’s chosen”.

Marvin Sapp Responds To The Controversy Surrounding Kandi's Song "Stayed Prayed Up"

Marvin Sapp featured on Kandi Burruss’ “Stayed Prayed Up”, which has caused quite an uproar within the Gospel community. This is because of Kandi’s personal life, as she is the founder of the adult toy company Bedroom Kandi. Before and after the song was released Kandi defended herself in regard to the negative comments she’s received because of the duet. Now, Marvin responds to the controversy through  Facebook to address the song, in which he says will be his only response ever.

Fan: Mr Sapp, I was a big fan of yours however as a Christian I’ma bit confused about your motivation to record the record prayed up. I intentionally watched you on the HOA and was taken back by your conversation with Kandi at the studio. You continued to tell her not to try to explain herself, and that she didn't have to apologize etc. I’m just wondering is this the watered down version of the word you are teaching

in your church? The bible says “my people perish because of a lack of knowledge.” It also says “GOD would rather that we be hot or cold.”

Not trying to come off as judgemental but this is the type of thing that makes the church look no different than the world. So fed up with this new concept of stooping to the worlds standards to reach souls Jesus hung out in places with sinners to reach them but HE never comprised

Akanbi Oluwatoyin he has been found dead in Ifo Ogun State, Akanbi and his silver 2008 Highlander with plate no: SMK975AS went missing around 5:30am on Monday February 18th on his way to work. His corpse was found in Ifo yesterday by the police but his car was not found. Akanbi worked with an oil company in Lekki and was not going to anywhere near Ogun State on that fateful day, so it is believe he was driven there and killed.

The police are currently investigating his death.

Cleotha ‘Cleedi’ Staples, a founding member of the pioneering folk-gospel group, The Staple Singers, has died at the age of 78. She had gracefully battled

Alzheimer’s disease for the last decade and passed away peacefully at her Chicago home on the morning of February 21, 2013.

Staples was born April 11, 1934 in Drew, Mississippi. She was the first-born child of Roebuck “Pops” Staples and his wife, Oceola. The family moved to Chicago in 1936 for better job opportunities. In the Windy City, siblings Pervis, Yvonne, Mavis and Cynthia were born. Pops worked a variety of manual labour jobs during the day and Oceola worked at the Morrison Hotel at night. To entertain the children in the evening, Pops began to teach them gospel songs while he strummed along on his ten-dollar guitar. His sister Katie enjoyed the sing-a-longs so much that she arranged for the family to sing at her church one Sunday morning in 1948. The family was called out for three encores and more than $7 was raised in the offering basket. Pops realized the family group had a future, and The Staple Singers were born.

Cardinal Keith O'Brien Contests The Claims Levelled Against Him

Cardinal Keith O'Brien

Cardinal Keith O’Brein, Scotland's Roman Catholic archbishop is contesting accusations of "inappropriate behavior" with priests.

British newspaper The Observer reported Sunday that three priests and one former priest have leveled allegations against O'Brien that date back 30 years. The Observer did not recount details of the claims or identify any of O'Brien's accusers, but said one of the priests alleged "that the cardinal developed an inappropriate relationship with him."

O'Brien did not attend Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh on Sunday, but the Scottish Catholic Media Office told CNN that the cardinal "contests these claims and is taking legal advice."

His accusers took their complaints to the Vatican representative in Britain and demanded O'Brien's resignation, The Observer reported. At the Vatican, Father Federico Lombardi, a spokesman for the church, told reporters that Pope Benedict XVI has been informed of the allegations.

Obama Asks Supreme Court To Allow Gay Marriage By Revoking DOMA

The Barrack Obama administration on Friday filed a brief, urging the Supreme Court to strike down Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, which keeps the federal government from recognizing same-sex couples legally married in states, and calling the law unconstitutional.

In the brief filed in United States v. Windsor, a case challenging Section 3 of DOMA, Solicitor General Donald Verrilli asked the court to uphold a federal appeals court ruling that found the 1996 federal law to be unconstitutional.

"Section 3 of DOMA violates the fundamental constitutional guarantee of equal protection," Verrilli argued in the brief. "The law denies to tens of thousands of same-sex couples who are legally married under state law an array of important federal benefits that are available to legally married opposite-sex couples. Because this discrimination cannot be justified as substantially furthering any important governmental interest, Section 3 is unconstitutional."

Pastor Saeed Abedini Under Duress To Deny Christ In Iran Jail

Pastor Saeed Abedini, the American pastor serving an 8-year sentence in Tehran, Iran, is being pressured into converting back to Islam, but he has said that that will never happen.

"After all of these pressures, after all of the nails they have pressed against my hands and feet, they are only waiting for one thing…for me to deny Christ," Abedini wrote in a letter obtained by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), who is representing his wife and two children back in America.

The pastor, however, has said that "they will never get this from me," and expressed his gratitude to the over 260,000 people who have signed a petition calling for his release.

Jordan Sekulow, ACLJ Executive Director, said that he hopes that number will climb to 300,000 before his organization meets with U.N. Human Rights officials on March 5.

Judge Dismisses Wrongful Death lawsuit Against Joyce Meyer Ministry

A Monroe County, Ill., judge on Tuesday dismissed the wrongful death lawsuit against Joyce Meyer Ministries that involved the murder of her former bodyguard's family.

Christopher Coleman, who worked for the ministry as Joyce Meyer's bodyguard, was accused of killing his wife, Sheri, and their two sons, Garrett and Gavin, at their home in Columbia, Ill., on May 5, 2009. Coleman was convicted by a jury in May 2011 and is serving out three life sentences without the possibility of parole.

The wrongful death lawsuit filed by Sheri Coleman's family against Joyce Meyer Ministries claimed that the deaths could have been prevented if the organization had conducted a proper investigation into the email threats that attacked Sheri and her family.

Christian music artist Carman Licciardello, known by his stage name “Carman,” has been diagnosed with cancer.
The musician and evangelist wrote on his Facebook page Thursday morning:

“I have delayed writing this but those of you I call friends and supporters, who have prayed for me and this ministry need to know about this new battle that lies ahead. One week ago I was diagnosed with myeloma cancer. It is incurable and I’ve been given a 3- to 4-year window of time.”

Often described as part evangelist, part Vegas showman, the 57-year-old’s concerts “are more like a rock-and-roll Billy Graham crusade than a Christian music event,” his website says.

Carman wrote that he will go in for his first bone biopsy and begin the process this week.

“I used to go to movies in the afternoon, now I go see doctors,” he said.

A Church Interpreter Arrested Over Alleged Rape of 12-year-old Girl

An interpreter of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, identified as Akin Adewale, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.

The suspect allegedly committed the crime in his home located at number 6, Shamusideen, Oke-Sokori area of the town when his wife was not at home.

The victim is said to be daughter of a church member of the suspect’s church, and was residing with the suspect and his wife, alongside their two kids.

After violently raping the 12-year-old, the church leader threatened her and asked her not to tell anyone, the victim’s mother said.

The traumatized girl, defied the threats, ran to the house of her biological parents and while she cried profusely narrated the event to her mother.

The victim’s mother reported to the Ogbe Unit of the Odua People’s Congress (OPC) who arrested the suspect.

Mr. Adewale, a commercial photographer, confessed to the crime and blamed the devil for the act.

In his statement to the OPC, a copy of which was made available to PREMIUM TIMES, the suspect confessed that he used a cloth to cover the victim’s mouth before forcefully raping her.

Explosion Kills One Under The Festac Link Bridge

The explosion occurred this morning under the Festac Link Bridge that got a man injured and killed another, named Oladele Pius.

Unfortunately, he was said to be passing under the bridge at the exact moment the explosion occurred. His body parts flew in different directions and police had to use shovel to scoop pieces of his body parts scattered around the scene into a bag.  Mr Pius was the head of the sand dredgers association in that area.

The police said it wasn't a bomb as earlier speculated, the police said that The Bomb Disposal Unit found at the scene battery put in a torchlight (wonder what that is). They (the police) promised to investigate what really happened and find the people behind it.

Prophet Found With Fresh Human Parts

Two persons, one of them said to be a prophet with a white garment church, have been arrested by the Police in Lagos, following the discovery of fresh human parts in their custody.

it was gathered that policemen attached to Ikotun division on patrol accosted two men at about 12: 30pm, Friday, with a Ghana-must-go bag. When they requested to know the content of the bag, one of the men bolted.

When the bag was eventually opened, fresh human parts were found inside two containers.

The recovered parts included five fingers, a human heart, liver, kidney and intestines, all concealed in separate plastics filled with water. The plastics were, thereafter, tied inside separate polythene bags and kept in the carry-all bag.

Federal Regulators Shut Down Covenant Bank on West Side

The Federal Regulators Shut down Covenant Bank on the west side because the bank was running at a loss.

The bank was founded by megachurch pastor, Pastor Bill Winston, the bank was founded in 2008.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. sold the bank’s assets to Liberty Bank and Trust Co. of New Orleans. Liberty will continue to operate Covenant’s only office at 1111 S. Homan.

The sale will protect account holders, who are insured up to the $250,000 per-account maximum. But it will wipe out the bank’s owners, including members of Winston’s Living Word Christian Center in Forest Park who provided cash for the purchase.

The FDIC estimated the closure will cost its insurance fund $21.8 million. It said that as of year-end 2012, Covenant had $58.4 million in assets.

Many of the bank’s owners, who provided Winston at least $1,000 each, are people of modest means. Winston did not return a call Friday.

He purchased the former Community Bank of Lawndale for a reported $3 million, preaching the need to put religious faith into practice by supporting revitalization of the West Side. But FDIC records show the bank’s losses have been heavy, especially in the last couple of years.

A Man Raped Woman He Met on Christian Mingle Dating Site

 37-year old Sean Banks has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman he met on the online dating website, Christian Mingle.

The alleged assault happened in October at the home of a woman who Sean Banks met on the website using the name ‘Rarity.”

Police say they later learned that Banks used other names on the dating site, including Rarity, Rylan, Rylan Butterwood and Rylan Harbough.

The number of false  identity he has used had led investigators to suspect that banks may have assaulted other women and may have used other dating sites under additional false names.

Banks is free on $500,000 bail and is due back in court March 1st.

If convicted he faces 36 years to life in prison.

The bible says God is not to be mocked..
The fact still remains that most of these songs are rendered as sacrifice to the devil before they are released...

HOW KEMISOLA OGUNYEMI WAS KIDNAPPED & FOUND

Kemisola Uthman Ogunyemi, a 29 years old lady who returned to Nigeria with her husband Akin from the United States to bury her late mother  who died on the 26th December 2012 went missing 5 days ago. She was kidnapped at about 8.30pm in Ajah, Lagos on Sunday 10th February 2013.

She left Ikorodu town Sunday evening 10 Feb. in a black Nissan Murano. The car was found hours after she was suspected to be  missing with one leg of her shoe.

The kidnappers later called her husband with Kemisola’s phone, Punch reports, The kidnappers called about 11.41 am on Monday. The speaker clearly sounded like an Igbo man. He said, ‘Where are you?’ But when Yinka said he was in the house, the speaker asked again ‘Are you sure? Are you sure you are in the house? Yinka insisted that he was in the house. He told them he wanted to speak with Kemisola and they gave the phone to her. Kemi sounded very distraught on the phone. She was begging her husband to please help her and do everything the men demanded.”
