The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sings at the Inauguration About Judgement of God

Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sang a song at the 57th inauguration about the judgement of God and Obama smiled maybe oblivious to the meaning of the song Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

According to Wikipedia, the words of this famous hymn were written by Julia Ward Howe in 1861. "The song links the judgement of the wicked at the end of time (New Testament) with the American Civil War.

The wrath mentioned in this song can be read about in Revelation 14:
Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, "Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the wine press, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. - Revelation 14:17-20 ESV

Earlier in chapter 14 verse 8 we read about one of the reasons for God's wrath:
Another angel, a second, followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality."
Some prophecy teachers believe that this Babylon is America. America has exported pornography throughout the world.
This song might be prophetic. As America and President Obama rejects the biblical teaching on sexual purity, the country embraces sin. The Bible warns that "God is not mocked."
Before the Inauguration, pastor Louie Giglio withdrew himself from giving the inaugural benediction because of controversy over a sermon he preached in the 1990s about homosexuality..

What do you think..

Meanwhile the choir was Awesome..
